It’s sad to think that David Bowie won’t be around to write any more music. It’s also sad that we’ve lost more people recently! Man, so much talent leaving us at such early ages, too. Let’s not get morbid, though. Let’s get real.

There’s still a lot of new music, talent, venues, restaurants and brews to cover. And, cover them I will. I sent out a newsletter to those who have subscribed explaining what’s been going on here at Reviewing Tunes. Right now, RT is me.  😉 . There have been a lot of changes lately. Some of them have been good, but others have been challenges. My favorite mantra is from the movie, “Galaxy Quest”. It’s “Never give up, never surrender!” uttered by the indomitable actor Jason Nesmith played by actor Tim Allen. Other than being one of my favorite all time Sci-Fi movies, I think the movie illustrates the drive, determination and spirit I feel for this website and what it represents.

You may or may not know this, but I’m also an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church, American Marriage MinistriesChurch of Spiritual Humanism and The Church of the Latter-Day Dude. I do weddings on the side, because I love to! I perform traditional and non-traditional weddings. I’ve done a Goth wedding in a cemetery, I’ve done a same sex marriage in state park, and I’ve done a traditional wedding in my shop. Why bring this up? it’s to show that I’m open to pretty much anything. Perhaps through my own previous articles and professions of being a Prog maven, I might have made it seem that I do not care for other types of music. Nothing could be further from the truth, and I hope future articles will prove me out. I’m going to root out the newest or most interesting music, food, beer and places to go see a concert…no matter what they are or where they come from.

I want to thank everyone who has stuck with me so far on this journey of all the good things in life that make all your hard work worthwhile. And, unlike The Dude, I don’t mind the Eagles. 😀
